I have ordered the boarder columns in the past, they are nice. It seems that every time I go to order though the clips disc and spike are on back order forcing me to pay $20 extra for a 4x4 in the kit. Seems simple enough to keep things in stock year after year.
We're sorry you felt it necessary to purchase the entire kit. We do try to keep stock of the individual components but sometimes run out during the off season and need to wait for a new shipment.
